ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Morris County, NJ. The role focuses on designing water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and producing fabrication drawings for in-house fabrication and outside fabricators.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of mechanical design experience, strong SolidWorks skills, and a hands-on mindset to figure out how to build new equipment. This is an onsite, full-time position with relocation not offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Required.
• 3 or 4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Accurate, detail-oriented drawing work.
• Local to northern New Jersey and onsite Morris County. Relocation not offered.
• Strongly preferred: conveyors experience; water/wastewater background is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings the shop builds from.
• Work out how to build what the customer needs, including equipment the company has not made before.
• Carry conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit the fabrication shop to review plans, check progress, and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators, with the required level of detail.
• Support the project engineer running each order with the design work that order requires.
• Get the details right before release, so equipment is built correctly the first time.
