Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in New Jersey. The role focuses on designing water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and generating fabrication drawings for in-house production.

You will collaborate with fabrication teams to optimize constructability and ensure first-time fit. Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with 3–4 years of design experience, proficient in SolidWorks, and able to work onsite in Morris County without relocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for design and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to reason how to build things, not just draw them.
• Local to northern New Jersey and onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.
• Nice to have conveyors or similar fabricated equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Work out how to build customer needs, including equipment the company has not built before.
• Carry conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit the fabrication shop to review plans, check progress, and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with the required level of detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
• Get the details right before release so equipment is built and fits first time.
