Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a privately held New Jersey manufacturer of water and wastewater process equipment. The role requires a degreed ME with 3–4 years of SolidWorks design experience, focusing on conveyors and new equipment builds.

100% onsite in Morris County, NJ with no relocation offered. You will design in SolidWorks, generate fabrication drawings, and collaborate with fabricators to ensure builds match the plan and fit first

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 3 or 4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to design and build solutions.
• Accurate, detail-oriented drawing work and ability to discuss designs with fabricators.
• Local to northern New Jersey and fully onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.
• Experience with conveyors or similar fabricated equipment is strongly preferred.
• Water and wastewater background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce the fabrication drawings the shop builds from.
• Work out how to build what the customer needs, including equipment the company has not made before.
• Carry conveyor designs, the bulk of the workload, from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit the fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with the required level of detail.
• Support the project engineer running each order with the design work required.
• Get the details right before release, so equipment is built correctly the first time.
