Job summary

A privately held New Jersey manufacturer of water and wastewater process equipment is adding a Mechanical Design Engineer to its team. This is a design role focused on how equipment is built, with much of the workload on conveyors.

The engineer will design in SolidWorks, coordinate with shop fabricators, and refine plans with input from production. Onsite work in Morris County with relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; primary tool for design and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to conceive build methods from needs.
• Accurate, detail-oriented drawing work and able to discuss designs with fabricators.
• Local to northern New Jersey; fully onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer-required equipment, including new designs.
• Lead conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
