Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is assisting a privately held New Jersey manufacturer of water and wastewater process equipment in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer. This on-site role in Morris County requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 3–4 years of SolidWorks design experience.

You will design water and wastewater equipment, generate fabrication drawings, and collaborate with the shop floor to ensure builds meet the design intent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience; standout candidates with less considered.
• SolidWorks proficiency is required as the design platform.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer-specified equipment, including new designs.
• Lead conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with required detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work on each order.
