Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Morris County, NJ to design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.

You will collaborate closely with shop personnel to ensure designs are buildable, with emphasis on conveyors and equipment never built before. The role is fully onsite with minimal travel and strong interaction with fabrication teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for design and fabrication drawings.
• Local to northern New Jersey; must be onsite in Morris County.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer-required equipment, including new designs.
• Lead conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with appropriate detail.
