Job summary

Privately held New Jersey manufacturer of water and wastewater process equipment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. The role focuses on designing and detailing equipment in SolidWorks, guiding fabrication, and ensuring designs translate to build-ready drawings directly from the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3–4 years of hands-on design experience, with strong aptitude for translating customer needs into buildable solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–4 years mechanical design experience with SolidWorks or equivalent.
• Proficient in SolidWorks as the platform for design and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine build methods for customer needs, including unfamiliar equipment.
• Lead conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings and coordinate with fabrication shop.
