Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer in Morris County, NJ. Degreed Mechanical Engineer with 3–4 years of SolidWorks design experience will design water and wastewater equipment and generate shop fabrication drawings.

You’ll contribute to in-house fabrication efforts, collaborating with shop staff to optimize build methods. The role emphasizes hands-on design for equipment never previously built, with short lines to the shop floor and a focus on getting it right the first

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for design and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on problem solving.
• Detail-oriented drawing work and ability to discuss designs with fabricators.
• Local to northern New Jersey and onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer requirements, including new equipment.
• Carry conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with needed detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
