Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Morris County, NJ. You will design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks, create fabrication drawings, and collaborate with fabrication teams to optimize build methods.

Qualified candidates have 3–4 years of mechanical design experience, a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, and proficiency in SolidWorks. Onsite work with minimal relocation future prospects is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Ability to design equipment not previously made.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to work with fabricators.
• Local to northern New Jersey, onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.
• Experience designing conveyors is a plus.
• Water and wastewater background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer requirements, including equipment the company hasn't built before.
• Lead conveyor design from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit the nearby fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with appropriate detail.
• Support the project engineer with required design work for each order.
• Ensure details are finalized before release for first-time right fabrication.
