The role focuses on in-house design for equipment not previously built, with close interaction with shop floor fabricators and project engineers to ensure first-time right builds. 3–4 years of experience and a bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience; standout candidates with less will be considered.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; platform for design and fabrication drawings.
• Local to northern New Jersey and able to work fully onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.
• Experience designing conveyors or similar fabricated equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer needs, including equipment not previously made.
• Lead conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with appropriate detail.
• Support project engineers with design work for each order.
• Ensure details are correct before release for first-time right builds.
