Job Juncture is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks) in Morris County, NJ to design water and wastewater equipment and develop fabrication drawings. You will collaborate closely with fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and built right the first time, with conveyors as the core workload and opportunities to tackle new equipment challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation.
• Local to northern New Jersey and onsite in Morris County.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce the fabrication drawings the shop builds from.
• Work out how to build what the customer needs, including equipment the company has not made before.
• Carry conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit the company's nearby fabrication shop to review plans, check progress, and resolve build questions with the fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators, with the level of detail each one needs.
• Support the project engineer running each order with the design work that order requires.
• Get the details right before release, so equipment is built once and fits the first time.
