Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. designs and optimizes facility piping systems, sizes mechanical components, and prepares drawings and specifications for high‑integrity projects.

You will perform flow, pressure‑drop, thermal, and stress analyses under senior engineers’ guidance to ensure safety and reliability. The role supports safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, factory acceptance testing, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize facility piping systems.
• Size mechanical components.
• Prepare and update drawings and specifications.
• Perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and stress analyses.
• Support safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, FATs, and field inspections.
• Assist commissioning and troubleshooting under senior engineers’ guidance.
