Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. designs and optimizes facility piping systems, sizes mechanical components, and prepares technical drawings and specifications.

The role supports flow, pressure-drop, thermal and stress analyses under guidance of senior engineers. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, has at least two years of hands-on piping and fluid systems experience, and can work with ASME codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, piping, fluid systems, or process equipment.
• Experience with equipment sizing and basic engineering calculations.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and industrial safety; ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
• Exposure to drafting and analysis software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize facility piping systems and size mechanical components.
• Prepare and update technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and stress-related analyses.
• Support safety reviews, procurement, factory acceptance tests, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting under senior engineers.
