Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking a mechanical design engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems, size components, and develop drawings and specs. You will perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and stress analyses under senior staff guidance.

Responsibilities include supporting safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, factory acceptance testing, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting with emphasis on ASME codes and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on piping, fluid systems, or process equipment experience.
• Experience with equipment sizing and pressure-drop calculations.
• Familiarity with pipe-stress concepts, ASME codes, and safety practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

• Design and optimize facility piping systems, size mechanical components, prepare and update drawings and specifications, and perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and stress analyses.
