Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design equipment and systems supporting sustainable HVAC products. You will collaborate with engineering teams, develop concepts for new and improved commercial HVAC products, and address complex technical problems to drive sustainable product development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
Minimum 2+ years in product design, validation testing, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Meet customer requirements by documenting and prioritizing needs.
Apply technical expertise to validate design choices for various applications.
Participate on project teams to meet performance, reliability, cost and schedule goals.
Create and maintain engineering documentation: 3D models, BOMs, drawings, specs.
Conduct design FMEAs and implement risk mitigation plans.
Domestic and international travel up to 10% may be required.
