Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design commercial HVAC equipment and systems for its Trane Commercial Systems business. You will work with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop concepts, tackle complex problems, and deliver sustainable products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of engineering experience in product design, validation testing, or root-cause analysis.

• FMEA experience and risk mitigation
• Experience documenting and prioritizing customer requirements
• Ability to create and maintain engineering documentation

Responsibilities

• Meet the needs of internal and external customers, through documenting, understanding and prioritizing customer requirements.
• Apply technical expertise to solve design problems or to gauge appropriateness of product to various applications.
• Participate on project teams to meet performance, reliability, cost and schedule objectives.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including 3D models, bills of materials, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct design FMEAs; develop and execute resulting risk mitigation plans.
• Deliver technical designs to meet project and product requirements.
• Overnight domestic travel may be required. Estimated travel is 10%.
