Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an HVAC design engineer to support the development of heating systems for unitary HVAC products. You will document customer requirements, contribute to product design, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires collaboration across mechanical, electrical, and regulatory teams. With 2+ years in product design and a strong grasp of ANSI/UL/CSA standards, you’ll contribute to certification activities while traveling up to 10% to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline.
• 2+ years experience in product design, validation testing and root cause analysis.
• Experience with HVAC heating codes and certifications (ANSI/UL/CSA).

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of heating systems for unitary HVAC products.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation including 3D models, BOMs, drawings.
• Conduct design FMEAs and develop risk mitigation plans.
