Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design equipment and systems supporting the company’s HVAC products. You will collaborate with engineering teams, develop concepts for new and improved commercial HVAC products, and solve complex technical problems leading to sustainable product generations.

Qualifications include a BA/BS in Engineering and 2+ years in product design, validation testing, and root-cause analysis, with preferred experience in Autodesk Inventor and Teamcenter

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 2+ years experience contributing to technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
• Deliver technical designs to meet project and product requirements.
• Experience with PLM software (Teamcenter) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Meet the needs of internal and external customers by documenting and prioritizing requirements.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including 3D models, BOMs, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct design FMEAs and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
