Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. is seeking a BIM Modeler, Mechanical to develop and coordinate mechanical systems models in Revit for data center and industrial projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to maintain one federated model from design through fabrication and field support.

The role emphasizes practical engineering judgment, on-site collaboration in Houston, and close coordination with electrical and structural disciplines under an in-office culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Autodesk Revit for mechanical systems.
• Strong experience modeling HVAC ductwork, hydronic piping, and equipment layouts.
• Knowledge of duct sizing, airflow, velocity, and pressure-drop criteria.
• Ability to take engineering markups and develop complete mechanical layouts independently.
• Experience coordinating mechanical systems across disciplines and resolving BIM clashes.
• Attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system models in Revit from markups and design criteria.
• Size ductwork and piping based on airflow, velocity, and equipment needs.
• Produce mechanical plans, sections, details, and schedules from BIM models.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and controls.
• Run Navisworks clash detection and drive resolutions.
• Track coordination issues through closure and ensure changes are incorporated.
• Maintain model accuracy and compliance with BIM standards.
• Support construction teams by resolving routing questions and field conditions.
• Perform quality-control reviews to catch errors before release.
