Job summary

Giga Energy in Houston is seeking a BIM Modeler, Mechanical, to develop and coordinate mechanical systems models (ductwork, hydronic piping, and equipment layouts) across our AI data center portfolio. You’ll translate engineering markups into fully coordinated Revit models and work alongside electrical, structural, and civil designers to keep one federated model as the single source of truth.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent), 5+ years in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical or architectural engineering.
• 5+ years of experience developing mechanical systems in Revit.
• Strong experience modeling HVAC ductwork and piping layouts.
• Ability to size ducts/pipes and resolve BIM clashes.
• Experience coordinating across disciplines and communicating clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system models in Revit from markups and criteria.
• Size ductwork and piping based on airflow, velocity, and equipment needs.
• Produce plans, sections, details, and schedules from BIM models.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with structural, architectural, electrical, and plumbing teams.
• Run Navisworks clash detection and drive resolutions.
• Track coordination issues to closure and update models accordingly.
• Maintain BIM model accuracy and compliance with BIM standards.
• Support field teams by resolving routing/coordination questions.
• Perform quality-control reviews to catch errors before release.
