Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a BIM Modeler, Civil (Outdoor & Underground) to own foundations, pads, duct banks, and grounding on our data center campuses. You’ll work in Revit and AutoCAD, reconciling Civil 3D data into a federated model, ensuring coordination before pours and shipments.

Based in Houston or other hubs, this in-office role favors onsite collaboration while allowing rare remote flexibility for exceptional talent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years modeling foundations, outdoor structures, and underground services.
• Expert-level Revit, including family creation, parametrics, worksharing, and shared coordinates
• Strong AutoCAD fluency — moving work between AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience modeling underground electrical raceway or duct banks, foundations, pads, or anchor bolts
• Able to read, link, and reconcile Civil 3D data into a Revit model
• Working knowledge of NEC Article 300.5, NESC/IEEE 605, IEEE 80, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Model foundations, equipment pads, embeds, and anchor bolt setting plans for heavy equipment.
• Verify anchor bolt and stub-up locations against equipment GA before pour.
• Model electrical duct banks and underground raceway - conduit arrangement, encasement, bend radii, spare capacity, manholes, and pull boxes.
• Model the grounding system - ground grids, rods, conductor routing, and connections to pads, structures, and fence lines.
• Model outdoor structures and equipment yard layout, including electrical clearances, phase spacing, and maintenance access.
• Take Civil 3D surfaces, utility networks, and survey data and reconcile into the federated model with shared coords.
• Convert incoming AutoCAD site drawings into native Revit geometry and maintain sync.
• Run underground clash cycles in Navisworks and resolve conflicts in your own models
• Build and maintain the parametric Revit family library for repeatable outdoor and underground content
