Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. seeks a BIM Modeler, Civil (Outdoor & Underground) to own foundations, pads, duct banks, grounding, and yard layouts. You will coordinate with our Civil & EPC Lead, reconcile Civil 3D data, and translate it into a federated Revit model to ensure everything is ready before pours and shipments.

The role emphasizes Revit/AutoCAD workflow, clash detection in Navisworks, and building a reusable outdoor/underground BIM library for a complex data center campus.

Qualifications

• Five-plus years modeling foundations, outdoor structures, and underground services for industrial, energy, substation, or mission-critical projects.
• Expert-level Autodesk Revit including structural modeling, family creation, parametric content, worksharing, and shared coordinates.
• Strong AutoCAD fluency—comfortable moving work between AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience modeling underground electrical raceway or duct banks and foundations for heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and reconcile Civil 3D data into a Revit model.
• Knowledge of NEC Article 300.5, NESC/IEEE 605, IEEE 80, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360.
• Navisworks proficiency with clash tests and QA in own models.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Model foundations, equipment pads, embeds, and anchor bolt plans coordinated against equipment GA drawings.
• Verify anchor bolt locations against GAs before pour and before shop release.
• Model electrical duct banks and underground raceway—conduit arrangement, encasement, bend radii, spare capacity, manholes, and pull boxes.
• Model grounding systems—ground grids, rods, conductor routing, and connections to pads, structures, and fence lines.
• Model outdoor structures and equipment yard layout with electrical clearances and maintenance access.
• Incorporate Civil 3D surfaces, networks, and survey data into the federated model with shared coordinates.
• Convert incoming AutoCAD site drawings into Revit geometry and produce CAD output as needed.
• Run underground clash cycles in Navisworks and resolve conflicts.
• Build and maintain a parametric Revit library for outdoor/underground content.
