Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a skilled BIM Modeler for Instrumentation & Controls to own the controls and instrumentation systems model on AI data center projects. You’ll handle sensor networks, control architectures, cable routing, I/O locations, and ensure alignment between Revit models and CAD deliverables.

You will build the controls side of our BIM capability, create families, templates, and standards, and coordinate with Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, IT teams, and site crews in a high-volume

Qualifications

• 5+ years modeling building systems and MEP in Revit for industrial, data center, or mission-critical projects.
• Expert-level Revit including MEP family creation, parametric content, worksharing, and shared coordinates.
• Strong AutoCAD Plant 3D skills; fluent moving between CAD and Revit without loss of accuracy.
• Able to read and work from P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control system documentation.
• Navisworks proficiency with clash testing and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEC/NFPA building codes and standards.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Create Models for instrumentation and controls systems in Revit and AutoCAD Plant 3D across active projects.
• Model cable tray, conduit routing, and control panels to avoid conflicts with electrical, mechanical, and structural scopes.
• Convert incoming CAD controls drawings, P&IDs and controls documentation to native Revit geometry; produce CAD deliverables when required.
• Maintain the controls model within the federated model set per BIM Execution Plan, including worksets and shared coordinates.
• Participate in and run clash detection cycles in Navisworks and resolve conflicts in your models.
• Raise and track model change requests to ensure revisions remain controlled.
• Produce controls drawings, system layout plans, cable routing schedules, and sensor/location schedules.
• Develop and maintain parametric Revit families for repeatable controls content.
• Mentor junior drafters and review their outputs before release.
