Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Diesel Refuse Truck Technician to perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs to keep fleet vehicles operating safely.

You will repair hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems and other components, carry out preventative maintenance, and ensure trucks are ready for daily operation. Starting pay ranges $25-$35/hr with overtime after 40 hours and a sign-on bonus to hire and retain

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel refuse trucks and hydraulic/electrical systems is desirable.
• Ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $25-$35/hr

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Sign On Bonus Included! $500 upon hire. $1,000 after 6 months. $1,000 after 1 year.
