Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring for Diesel Refuse Truck technicians in Kingsford, MI. Starting pay is $25-$30 per hour, with more pay possible based on experience, certifications, and skill level.

If you have only automotive experience, we can train you. Shift starts at 2pm with 8-12 hour shifts; overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include 15 days PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, and health benefits after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel refuse trucks is preferred.
• Willingness to be trained and certificated as needed.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
