Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced diesel truck technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair refuse trucks on a day shift in Alabama.

You will troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, perform brake and suspension work, and ensure fleet reliability for daily operations. The role requires hands-on expertise with diesel trucks, a commitment to safety, and readiness to perform preventative maintenance and numerous repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $25-$30/hr

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 10am-8pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs.
