Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking skilled diesel truck technicians to perform inspections, diagnose issues, and repair refuse trucks to keep fleets operating safely.

The role emphasizes hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTOs, and related components, with focus on reliable daily operations. The position requires hands-on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with brakes, suspension, PTO systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues for reliable fleet operation.
• Competence in preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $29-$36/hr
More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 12pm-930pm M-F. OT after 40hrs
