Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking skilled diesel truck mechanics in West Point, VA. The role offers starting pay of $30+/hr based on experience and certifications, with higher pay for highly qualified individuals. Shift is 2pm-12am, Monday through Friday, with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Diesel refuse trucks experience or similar heavy vehicle repair knowledge.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $30+/hr based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL. Higher pay available for highly qualified mechanics.

Shift: 2pm-12am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
