Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking skilled technicians to perform daily inspections and diagnostics on diesel refuse trucks in North Carolina. The role includes troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems, completing repairs, and ensuring fleet readiness for daily operation.

Starting pay ranges from $25-$35 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments. Benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, and health coverage after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Willingness to work a 2pm–12:30am shift with overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
