Minimum requirements:
- Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
- Qualified to operate power equipment and tools (automatic wrapper, slicer, grinder, power saw, jack, etc.).
- Work safely with chemical cleaning solutions.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and assist all department members.
- Handle stressful situations tactfully and calmly, leaving positive impressions on customers and colleagues.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in meat work or food preparation.
- Dependability and integrity reflected in past work records.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, OSHA, and food handling.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and displaying merchandise neatly and efficiently.
- Monitoring product quality, freshness, safety, and proper rotation.
- Keeping sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
- Maintaining carts, tools, and supplies in designated areas.
- Managing inventory levels and freshness in display cases, unloading trucks, and preparing merchandise for sale.
- Providing excellent customer and team member relations.
- Washing and sanitizing equipment per company and health department policies.
- Creating a clean, friendly impression on customers.
- Communicating effectively with customers and team members.
- Promptly and cheerfully serving customers, greeting them, and assisting with product location.
- Following all relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to meat handling, safety, and sanitation.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and equipment.
- Performing any additional duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour.
