Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager in Hayward, CA to support the Meat & Seafood Manager with team leadership, inventory, and merchandising. You will help ensure product quality, inventory controls, and a superior customer experience in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years leadership experience in grocery retail meat department preferred.
• 2–3 years of grocery meat department experience strongly preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 90 lbs.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must adhere to safety, health and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Meat & Seafood Manager in department management and merchandising.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, product quality, and team supervision.
• Coordinate production, planning, and communication for department goals.
• Help hire, train, and develop Meat & Seafood staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies.
