Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in Pinole, CA is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead the Meat & Seafood team and help customers make healthy choices in a fast-paced store. You will support department leadership, ensure freshness, and drive a high level of service and product quality.

The role requires at least 2 years in grocery retail meat operations, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older with a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience and 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.
• Dependable, reliable with outgoing, friendly demeanor.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Order, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching and training the Meat & Seafood team.
• Uphold safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
