Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to help customers make healthy choices and to lead one of the store’s busiest teams. You’ll support the Meat & Seafood Manager with department merchandising, inventory, and personnel development in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires 2+ years in grocery retail Meat, strong customer service, and flexible scheduling including nights and weekends. Daily safety and sanitation standards are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with basic math/weights and measures knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience with 2–3 years grocery retail Meat dept experience preferred.
• Dependable with a positive attitude and able to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize the department.
• Able to stand long hours and lift heavy loads (25–90 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, and training the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
• Unload deliveries and operate meat & seafood equipment to maintain freshness.
