Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead our Meat & Seafood team in delivering high‑quality products and exceptional customer service. You will support the Meat Manager in merchandising, inventory control, and staff development in a fast-paced store environment.

The role emphasizes maintaining product quality, enforcing safety standards, and coordinating with store leadership to ensure freshness and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in grocery or retail, preferably in Meat department
• 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in Meat department procedures is highly preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 90 lbs and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Assist Meat & Seafood Manager in department merchandising for productivity and profit
• Oversee ordering, inventory, product quality, and team supervision
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork
• Assist in hiring, teaching, and developing the Meat & Seafood team
• Follow weekly ad items, receiving, stocking, and freshness guidelines; enforce sanitation standards
• Unload deliveries and operate meat & seafood equipment
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and Weights & Measures regulations
