Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to help lead our busy Meat & Seafood department, delivering high‑quality products and exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced setting. You will support the Meat & Seafood Manager with scheduling, training, and day‑to‑day operations to maintain freshness and team performance.

The role requires leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience, with 2-3 years grocery retail Meat department experience preferred.
• Dependable with outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Able to stand up to 8 hours per shift and lift 25–90 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goals, and teamwork.
• Help lead a team to deliver high quality product and top level service for customers.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Keep aware of weekly ad items and assist with inventory and ordering; enforce department procedures.
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain meat & seafood equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
