Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in San Diego is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to guide the Meat & Seafood team, ensure product quality, and deliver an extraordinary customer service experience in a fast-paced store.

You will assist the Meat Manager with hiring, training, inventory control, scheduling, and maintaining freshness while upholding safety and sanitation guidelines, all to help the department meet productivity and profit goals.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of grocery retail Meat department experience preferred.
• Be dependable, reliable, and able to perform other related duties.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines; enforce company procedures.
• Support in keeping the department clean and organized and ensure freshness and quality.
