Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat & Seafood Manager to oversee the sales and operations of the Meat & Seafood Department in our California store. You will lead cutting, ordering, stocking, scheduling, and team development to deliver high-quality product and exceptional customer service.

You'll coach staff, manage performance, and collaborate with the Store Manager on hiring, promotions, and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of meat cutting experience in grocery or restaurant settings, including leadership responsibilities.
• Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours per shift; walk up to 2 miles per shift.
• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment and lift/move heavy items up to 90 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, order, and prepare cutting lists for the Meat & Seafood Department.
• Ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise.
• Coach and evaluate team members; participate in bi-annual performance reviews.
• Attend and participate in in-store meetings; recruit and promote with Store Manager.
• Lead scheduling and staffing to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Communicate standards, policy changes, and product knowledge to staff.
• Lead a team to deliver highest quality product and customer service.
• Serve as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed.
