Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Connecticut is seeking team members for the meat department. You will receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, while assisting Members with questions and product recommendations.

You’ll help maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and overall meat department productivity. We value experience in meat and deli, wrapping machinery knowledge, and a reliable, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood. Recommends products when necessary.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery and ensures quality standards.
• Rotates meats and seafood and maintains fully stocked cases.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and displays in the meat department.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports policy compliance.
