Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Associate to maintain our fresh and prepared meats sections. You will weigh, wrap, label, stock, and rotate products, assist Members with questions, and help keep the case clean and organized.

This role emphasizes teams, safety, and fast, friendly service in a busy club environment in Connecticut. Prior meat or deli experience is preferred, and the position offers weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of wrapping machines preferred.
• Experience in meat/deli department preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat and seafood; assist in packaging freshly cut meats.
• Inspect and store meat on delivery; ensure quality standards.
• Rotate meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses by expiration dates.
• Restock cases and maintain display areas; sanitize equipment and areas.
• Maintain club policies; perform other duties as assigned; attend regularly.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
