Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You will assist in the deli area and support club standards for safety, quality, and member service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts and processes fresh meats to company standards; weighs, wraps, and labels products.
• Maintains meat department inventory and ensures products are properly stocked and rotated.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and display cases; follows safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat and seafood deliveries; maintains product quality.
• Performs other duties in the meat department as needed.
