Job summary

ShopRite of Sayreville is seeking a Meat Clean-up Clerk to maintain a clean and sanitary Meat Department, assist in daily operations, and support the team across shifts. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include sanitizing surfaces, stocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with QA and labeling requirements while providing friendly service to customers and supporting store goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Able to lift 35 lbs. regularly and up to 90 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to work with food products and cleaning agents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work environment.
• Sanitize work surfaces and equipment per standards.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills.
• Assemble/disassemble Meat Dept. equipment.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Work in refrigerated and cold storage areas.
• Adhere to fish and country-of-origin labeling rules.
• Observe safety and QA policies.
