Job summary

ShopRite Hazlet is seeking a Meat Clean-up Clerk to perform sanitation and cleaning tasks in the Meat Department and related areas. The role supports a great customer experience by ensuring a sanitary, organized and safe environment and by assisting with basic department duties.

The position involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 80-90 lbs, and working in refrigerated spaces, with a focus on safety, efficiency and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and speaking English fluently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 80-90 lbs as required.
• Adhere to health, safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe Meat Department area.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils and equipment per standards.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills; assist in stocking and arranging merchandise.
• Operate and assist with equipment in a safe manner and report issues promptly.
• Assist customers in a friendly manner and promote company promotions.
• Adhere to company policies, safety programs and regulatory requirements.
