Job summary

ShopRite Hoboken is seeking a Meat Clean-Up Clerk to maintain a clean, sanitary meat area and assist in daily department duties. You will perform sanitation, organize inventory, and support the Meat Department Manager to ensure top‑quality customer service within a fast‑paced store environment.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 90 lbs, and adherence to safety and QA guidelines. Weekend and overtime shifts may apply; benefits noted in the store policy.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Perform basic math and measurements as required.
• Stand/walk for long shifts and lift up to 80–90 lbs occasionally.
• Comply with health, safety and QA standards in a food environment.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat and safe Meat Department area.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, utensils and equipment per standards.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills; handle meat department equipment safely.
• Move and transport merchandise weight 35–90 lbs as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies, health codes, and training requirements.
