Job summary

ShopRite Bayville is seeking a Meat Clean-up Clerk to maintain a clean and sanitary Meat Department area, support merchandising, and assist in daily department operations. The role requires physical stamina to stand, lift, and move heavy items, plus the ability to work in cold environments and follow safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for long shifts.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 90 lbs occasionally.
• Interact with customers in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, utensils, and equipment per standards.
• Keep floors clear of debris and spills.
• Assemble/disassemble Meat Department equipment.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report low levels.
• Work in refrigerated and frozen environments as required.
• Unload trucks and move merchandise to the Meat Department.
• Observe safety and sanitation practices and Company policies.
