Job summary

ShopRite of Montgomery is seeking a Meat Clean-up Clerk to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the Meat Department and related areas. You will perform duties to ensure equipment, premises and fixtures are kept in a clean and sanitary state while assisting customers and supporting the department’s operations.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 90 lbs occasionally, and adherence to safety and quality regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces and equipment.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills.
• Unload and transport merchandise weighing 35–90 lbs to Meat Department.
• Assist with stocking and promoting current charitable promotions to customers.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and QA standards.
