Job summary

Save-A-Lot in Orlando, FL seeks a Meat Cutter to trim, package and display meat products while delivering excellent customer service. You will follow the Meat Cutter Resource Manual, maintain cold chain and ensure quality, sanitation and compliance daily.

You will work under Store and Assistant Store Managers, using knives and power equipment to prepare labeled, accurately priced cuts for display and sale.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Save-A-Lot Meat Cutter Training within 3 months.
• Experience cutting meat with hand tools and power equipment preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, flexible and able to follow uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Cuts and packages beef, pork and poultry per policies and procedures.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat.
• Labels packages to COOL, USDA and Save-A-Lot standards.
• Maintains displays and case signs; may assist with product ordering.
• Rotates inventory and maintains meat quality and sanitation daily.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat to preserve cold chain.
• Follows all safety, sanitation and policy guidelines.
