Job summary

Save-A-Lot in Bradenton, FL is hiring a Meat Cutter to trim and prepare standard cuts, maintain cold chain, and merchandise displays to maximize sales. You will follow the Meat Cutter Resource Manual and store policies while delivering quality customer service.

Responsibilities include operating knives and power equipment, labeling and pricing, rotating stock, receiving deliveries, and maintaining sanitation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of Save-A-Lot Meat Cutter Training Program within 3 months.
• Previous experience cutting meat with hand tools and power equipment preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Dependable and flexible.
• Must adhere to uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Cut and/or package beef, pork and poultry items per Save-A-Lot policies and procedures.
• Wrap, weigh and price cuts of meat.
• Label packages according to COOL, USDA and Save-A-Lot standards.
• Ensure displays and case signs are updated and meat is merchandised to maximize sales.
• Receive, inspect and store meat to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Maintain sanitation and quality standards daily per Save-A-Lot policies.
• Follow all SAVE-A-LOT policies and procedures.
• May work in more than one store.
