Job summary

BJs Wholesale Club is seeking a meat department team member to rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats for Members. You will assist in the rotisserie area, maintain sanitation, and support deli sections as needed.

Qualifications include completion of a training program or apprenticeship, prior meat cutting experience, and familiarity with wrapping machines. Must be 18 or older and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by making recommendations and answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Weights, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Maintains the meat case and inventory per company guidelines.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery and ensures quality standards.
