Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meat Department Team Member to receive, rotate, cut, wrap and merchandize fresh and processed meats. You’ll assist in meat selection and special cuts for Members, and help in the rotisserie and deli areas while upholding sanitation standards.

As part of a team-focused environment, you’ll follow club policies, work with speed and accuracy, and contribute to a safe, friendly shopping experience for Members.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Members and answer questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label meat products.
• Maintain proper meat case presentation and inventory.
• Rotate products according to expiration dates.
• Sanitize all equipment and areas in the meat department.
