Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Richmond, VA is seeking a Meat Department team member. The role includes receiving, cutting, wrapping, weighing, and merchandising meats, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards. You will assist Members, stock the meat cases, and help ensure inventory accuracy.

Qualifications include a completed training program or apprenticeship, prior meat cutting experience, and 18+ years of age. Wrapping machines knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by making recommendations and answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards; weighs, packages, and labels cuts.
• Maintains meat department inventory, displays, and sanitation per policy.
• Performs other duties in the meat department as assigned.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
